His medications include warfarin (Coumadin), simvastatin (Zocor), aspirin (81 mg daily), diltiazem (Cardizem), and atenolol (Tenormin). He stopped smoking eight years ago. The patient is allergic to penicillin. The patient's chief complaints are bleeding "gums", pain in a tooth, and that it is difficult to brush his teeth because his "gums are big."
