Intro: Many customers are dissatisfied with their experience at CVS Pharmacies in terms of timely prescription (script) fulfillment.

Assignment: Develop a recommended improvement to the CVS pharmacy prescription fulfillment process. Explain the as-is process and its problems/limitations, then prepare a to-be business process map and a corresponding narrative description for your recommended prescription fulfillment process improvement. (Note: pay particular attention to the slides labeled "Business Process Example", "Visio Basic Process Model Symbols", and "Sample Basic Swim Lane Diagram").

Your recommended process improvement must involve information and technology and be sure to include these roles in your description of the recommended process improvement as well as what business benefits will result. Since the benefits are not quantifiable without more information than the case provides, you may state them qualitatively.

Specifics: The business process map can be done using any of the following tools: Visio, Word (using the Insert Shapes command), or PowerPoint (also using the Insert Shapes command). You may, as a last resort, draw it by hand and scan the image into the Word Document but you must use a straight edge and the diagram must be readable (i.e., something you would be comfortable showing to your boss or a customer).
