Discussion: Gathering Information
Part I:
Counselors start the therapeutic process by gathering information from and about the client. The information gathered should aid the counselor in developing a treatment plan for their client's journey to well-being. Prompts:
- What information may be helpful to gather from the client during the initial sessions? Need Assignment Help?
- What information about the therapeutic relationship should you be communicating to the client during the initial sessions?
- Based on the information collected by the therapist in the video session, what symptoms might you want to gain more information about?
