Howard is not really a research article - more like an overview of copyright law circa 1996. And Bernhardt is even older, 1993. However, these issues haven't gone away, and in Bernhardt's case, viewing them from the perspective of a Internet virgin who thinks CD-ROMs are gigantic helps put our web-dominated lives in a clearer light.
