Instructions: Assume you are an intelligence analyst for the Department of Homeland Security. Your supervisor believes changes in the U.S. intelligence community structure are needed. As a first step, prepare a fact sheet that summarizes the current intelligence community structure. Then, create a table based on the intelligence community structure, and then determine priorities based on where you believe changes are needed. These components will be submitted within the one written document.
Additionally, justify your conclusions and provide a response to the following:
Assess the need for change in the intelligence community and within the relationship with law enforcement professionals.
Discuss the change in threats to the United States over time.
Explain the changes in means and methods of collecting intelligence.
Determine the improvements both law enforcement and intelligence agencies should implement to strengthen the security of the United States.
Support your assignment with at least five scholarly or professional resources. In addition to these specified resources, other appropriate scholarly resources, including older articles, may be included.
