Choose an article or articles that deal with the current issues and/or protests surrounding the Dakota Access Pipeline and write a 2-3 page response about how you think it relates to the President Andrew Jackson's Indian removal policies, Indian Removal Act, and/or the Trail of Tears.
Your discussion is partially opinion-based but you will need to support your thoughts and ideas with details and examples from your textbook and current event and possibly other sources.

· Be creative in how you think about the relationship between the current lesson and what is happening in the world today. There are no right or wrong answers. The key is to fully explain how you believe the current event and history relate.
