Assignment:
Complete a term paper on a transportation topic covered in this course. For example, the fuel consumption for cars and light trucks is much different than it was many years ago. In your term paper, you can discuss the types of technologies used in transporting freight in the early 1900's. What type of regulations affected the car industry? You may also discuss the alternatives fuel technologies that exist today and the impact each has on the car industry, freight industry. You may select a topic from one of the modules or you can select a topic from one of the chapters covered within the modules.
Besides the textbook, find at least 2 peer-reviewed journals to support your paper. Include the journals in the references.
Your term paper draft will be 4 to 5 pages in length, not including the title or reference pages, and include an introduction with a thesis statement and a conclusion that summarizes the main ideas.
Each paragraph should have a topic sentence supported by 3 to 5 sentences that offer additional details, explanation, and examples.
The essay should be free of errors in grammar, sentence structure, and other mechanics.
In addition, the paper should be in APA format, which includes Times New Roman, 12-point font with double line spacing and one-inch margins.
In your paper, you will provide an overview of your chosen topic. Be sure to include a thorough thesis statement and analyzation the topic you have chosen that relates to transportation. Synthesize the process, issues, solution, and other details of the topic using your textbook and the peer reviewed journals that you researched.
