Probation and parole have many functional similarities. There are advocates in the criminal justice system who are proposing combining probation and parole. Some of their reasoning includes; moving corrections into a more encompassing management structure by combining the administration of probation and parole into a single administrative unit. Discuss the advantages and disadvantages of combining parole and probation together in one administrative unit and then give your recommendation for this action.
