Discuss stereotypes over the years for adults

Problem: There have been many types of stereotypes over the years for adults entering late adulthood. Many people believe that older adults are unhealthy and live lonely lives, when this is just not true. Many older adults lead active social lives and live independently. Some behavioral effects with aging that lead to frequent stereotypes are agitation and anxiety. These new behaviors or changes in personality can make family members upset and frustrated. They will start to assume stereotypical things about these older adults. As you age, some of your sensory functions can decline, but there have been many technological aids invented to help older adults compensate. For example, hearing aids allow older adults to hear things better when their hearing starts to decline. The hearing aids will magnify the sound in the environment so older adults can hear better. There are also things like memory aids and medication organizers that help make daily activities better and more preserved. As a society, people tend to view the elderly in different ways. Some people still think that older people are wise and are good teachers of morals and values. On the other hand, many people can view the elderly as a burden or a hassle. It really depends on the perspective of the person and the way that they were raised. Some people have certain religious beliefs that hold elderly people in higher regard as wiser and more knowledgeable. Replay to discussion paragraph. Need Assignment Help?
