In contrast unions have been decrease in many other organizations. This lesson will help you to understand the dynamics and strategies that are used by both unions and management. Unlike other industries, healthcare employs a wide arrange of employees (Mandel and Weber, 2006). As a result of the increase in healthcare employees wanting to unionize, there is an increased need for managers to spend much more time on employee relations in order to avoid unfair labor practice.
