Sexual Behavior and Drug Education and Prevention Plan Paper
After completing the personal reflections over the past months, you will turn your attention to community impact. Choose ANY topic associated with drug education or sexual behaviors and detail the background information, direct or indirect association with sport, implications to sport and athletes/coaches, and preventative measures and methods. This assignment is different from the personal reflections-do not copy/paste from your previous submissions. This assignment challenges you to look further into the desired topic and compare/contrast your knowledge base with the relevant literature.
Brief outline of what to include in your paper:
A. Brief introduction of your topic and why it is of interest to you.
B. Body paragraphs to address the relevant background information about the topic, including relevant literature and on-going studies. This section is about 2 pages. Ultimately, provide a description of what your topic is and why it is relevant to our current society. You should have access to multiple resources and should have had multiple conversations/discussions about this topic, so your response should indicate a well-researched foundation. Explain certain instances, examples, and personal testimony to bring life to your expression.
C. Body paragraphs to address the implications and associations of your topic to the current sport environment. How are coaches, administrators, and athletes affected/effected by this topic? What has been researched to date and what research will form in the future? This can be accomplished in about 2 pages, too.
D. Body paragraphs to address preventative measures associated to your topic. What does the research conclude regarding preventative measures,treatments, on-going conditions, and care? Immediate, short-term, and long-term treatments should be listed. What personal experience can you rely onto add to this conversation? Aim to capture this in about 2 pages, as well.
E. Summarize your assignment by providing any final research or personal testimony. 1 to 2 pages will suffice.
