You are writing an draft over a theme found within Mary Oliver's collection of poetry, New and Selected Poems, Volume 1. We have discussed several strategies (for organization) and specific ideas to examine within her work. For additional development, make meaningful connections between her work and the work of one other author from the semester's reading list. Within my lectures I mention Dickinson, Emerson, Thoreau, and Taylor, but there are other authors whose works might offer a point of similarity or contrast.
