Why do you think it was important for Moderna to conduct a special analysis of safety data in older adults who received their experimental novel coronavirus vaccine? Think about the risk factors for COVID-19 and how this might have factored into the decision to examine safety in this special population. What does the AE profile look like in older adults, based on the publication? Overall, what does the paper conclude about the benefit: risk of this vaccine in older adults?
