•From the e-Activity, evaluate the use and applicability of Radio Frequency Identification Devises (RFID) in industry today. Choose a company and provide at least two examples of how these devices can be used to improve productivity in its operations.
•From the case study, assess the benefits and risks associated with this type of technology that should be considered by Mr. Bracket. Identify at least two possible risks that the company might face and suggest ways to mitigate them.
• From the e-Activity, evaluate the use and applicability of Radio Frequency Identification Devises (RFID) in industry today. Choose a company and provide at least two examples of how these devices can be used to improve productivity in its operations. One of the companies we receive phone products from use RFID to track their phone packages, they have equipped our receiving and shipping team with portable devices so when we receive the packages we can scan them into the system, the computer system will update with the quantity of phones received to what was shipped. This helps the company to keep track of all equipment that's being shipped and received, and be more productive this can also help them with theft of equipment which can be costly.
• From the case study, assess the benefits and risks associated with this type of technology that should be considered by Mr. Bracket. Identify at least two possible risks that the company might face and suggest ways to mitigate them. The barcode and the RIFD both have the product information but it can get expensive assembling and inserting the computer chip and RFID readers' struggle picking up information when passing through metal or liquid. I think Mr. Bracket should keep his barcode system that works and only upgrade to the RIFD system for those products that require faster scan time.
