Problem: Here's the context for the questions: We know that dating apps (and the dating app culture) promote the idea that "your match" is possibly just a click away. In contrast, prior to social media and the introduction of dating apps, most people met "the one" that they spent the night or the rest of their lives with in person at school, work, family gatherings/celebrations, parties or dances, their religious community's gathering place, at their friend's home, bars/nightclubs, etc. (sociologists often talk about endogamy, which is the tendency to marry within one's own social, class or ethnic group).
