Problem: A set of policies that were affecting me greatly during the start of this year has been the gas taxes included with the high pricing. Every time I had to fill my car up, I was paying way over double what I usually was paying. This not only being generated from the taxing of gas but politics between the U.S. and other countries. In Florida, the gas taxes are utilized towards our roads and highways. Through the taxes, the drivers on the road are the ones affected. They are affected by the development of roadways, toll pricing, and enforcement of traffic laws. The drivers are affected whenever they legally use these Florida roadways. The taxes to get the funding for these projects and enforcements are passed by Florida Legislature as well as Congress. My opinion on how the taxes affect our Florida highways is that tolls and gas are too expensive for how poor and how long it is taking for these roads to be finished and updated.
