Our federal government is one of the world's largest ‘businesses'. We are in the business of defending our country and there is a huge operational machine behind our ability to do that. Political opinions aside, our federal government has been repeatedly scrutinized for its poor organizational structure and inefficiencies. As American taxpayers, you are essentially the stockholders of our federal government so you should be very interested in what's going on. The textbook provides a quick look into the triumphs and failures of Toyota's organizational structure and what the consequences have been (I will provide, separately).
How can we take the lessons learned from this case study and from the other concepts in these chapters to fix the organizational structure of our government
