Discuss one law which has enabled intelligence-led policing

Problem

What are some feedbacks you can give for my response to the question I answered below?

Identify and discuss at least one legislative statute/law which has enabled intelligence-led policing at the Federal, State or Local level. Explain how this new law has provided LE with new intelligence tools to investigate and prosecute terrorism related cases or other criminal activities such as money laundering. In your response discuss whether these new laws have resulted in successful investigations and prosecutions or infringed civil rights or due process.

The USA PATRIOT act is an act that improves counter-terrorism efforts in the following ways: It allows for investigators to use the tools that were already available to investigate organized crime and drug trafficking. It allows law enforcement is use surveillance against more crimes of terror. It allows federal agents to follow sophisticated terrorists trained to evade detection. It allows law enforcement to conduct investigations without tipping off the terrorist. This act has been successful in helping to investigate and prosecute terrorist cases. However, there have been some concerns about the act infringing on civil rights or due process. This act was passed in 2001 after the September 11th attack. This bill allowed for law enforcement to have more authority with terrorist cases. This act provides law enforcement with new tools to collect and share intelligence. This gives authorization for law enforcement to conduct surveillance on suspected terrorists, including wiretapping phones and monitoring emails and internet activity. This can give authority to finical records and other information as well. This law allows for intelligence to be collected. Despite the concerns, this act has been successful with companying terrorism.

Some say that this act has made it easier for the government to spy on people. This successful sorority began when the FBI started investigating an anonymous letter indicating that there would be a foreign attack. The FBI felt as if they should continue with the investigation and look into the drug crime and deeper into the intelligence related to the threats. Because of the Patriot Act allowed the FBI to break down the wall and look into the case. Here are some examples of what they did: The government was able to investigate the crime and sentence those for it. The federal cable act allowed the FBI to wiretap federally. This allowed the FBI to gain more information under Section 211. The FBI also used a pen/trap device to track the number of phone calls and outgoing calls.
