School counselors may not have a person or staff they are responsible for on an organizational chart, but they are certainly one of the school's most important leaders. This assignment will help you determine your leadership strengths, areas for growth and what steps can be taken to improve your leaderships skills as a school counselor.

For this assignment, please review the article "Building-Level Leadership," located in the topic Resources. Using the information gathered from the ?School Counselor Leadership Survey? (located within the "Building-Level Leadership" article)  Professional Development Leadership Plan using the template attached. In designing your Professional Development Leadership Plan, you will also consider GCU's Professional Dispositions of Learners. complete the Professional Development Leadership Plan, you will need to identify the following:

1. Specify three areas of growth related to leadership development as a school counselor.

2. Locate professional development resources to assist you in the development of each leadership trait.

Construct a timeline for completion of each leadership professional development activity.

Discuss how you will assess your growth in each of the identified areas.

Indicate a GCU Professional Disposition to support your growth in each of the three identified areas. Where possible, choose a different GCU Professional Disposition for each identified area.
