Dichos are typically articulated by 'elders' in our families and communities. Whether its by our parents, Titi Juanita, Abuelito Paco, or el bodeguero-Don Pepe, dichos can be voiced to affirm disapproval or praise. In an era of rapid language loss, the usage of dichos is disappearing... leading some to wonder... is this yet another indication of the loss of culture?
