Also, suppose that your opponent has been running a negative campaign against you. In addition, suppose that it is one week before Election Day and the polls indicate that the race is a dead heat. Further, suppose that you know (but the voters do not know) the following about your opponent:
He has had several extramarital affairs.
He has used cocaine in college (which was twenty-five years ago).
He was a member of a racist political party when he was younger (and which was 25 year ago).
His wife is an alcoholic.
Question: Write an essay that discusses what you think Niccolo Machiavelli would advise you (the incumbent political leader) to do during the last week of this political campaign. Also, discuss whether you would follow Machiavelli's advice. In addition, include at least two quotations from the readings on Machiavelli provided in our class.
