Each time a new employee is hired, human resources personnel conduct an Onboarding presentation to inform and go over the policies and procedures for the company. One of the policies speaks to the Dress Code as well as Body Piercing and Body Art.
Let’s say one morning, while you are on your way upstairs to get your mail, you see two employees who are out of compliance with the company’s policies relative to the following: 1) one employee is inappropriately dressed; and 2) the other employee has body piercings in the nose and on the lip as well as several body arts all over the neck and chin areas.
Discuss in detail the conversation you would have with these employees. And oh, by the way, both employees give you, as the human resources personnel, lots of attitude. What is your communication strategy?
