Discussion Post: The Community as your Client
The differences between macro, mezzo, and micro-level social work have been characterized as interactions along a continuum, rather than distinct and separate. At times, practitioners may find themselves balancing multiple responsibilities including counselor, advocate, consultant, facilitator, and advisor. In this forum, consider your area of practice (or where you would like to practice) and discuss how you, as a critical thinking professional, view your potential for transforming the social, political, and economic environment to be more productive and responsive to the needs of clients, their families, and their communities.
