Problem
This project is designed to give you a creative way to reflect on what you have learned about yourself as a learner through your experiences in the BSN program overall. Secondly, the project asks you to discuss how you have gained experience in the five main skills (Think, Communicate, Cooperate, Act, & Value) and how you plan to continue to use those skills as a lifelong learner.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
The Gen-Ed curriculum is designed to facilitate your growth in five broad areas: (i) knowledge of the physical, natural, social, spiritual, and aesthetic worlds; (ii) knowledge of self; (iii) historical consciousness;( iv) appreciation for diversity; and (v) theological understanding.
1. Think critically and solve problems within the humanities and social science domains;
2. Cooperate with others, which requires understanding and tolerance of racial, ethnic, religious, and cultural differences; and managing conflicts and disagreements with civility;
3. Communicate their ideas clearly, coherently, and persuasively both orally and in writing; use intrapersonal communication to facilitate problem-solving and self-reflection; and listen and share ideas respectfully across cultures;
4. Act, including: empowerment through the development of personal agency skills: civic engagement; finding answers to questions through mastery of information resources; and being lifelong learners; and
5. Value, including: personal/social responsibility; self-worth; ethics/morality; personal happiness; and empathy.
