Assignment: GIS Case Study
Select one of the four case studies that were presented in reading and tutorial. Briefly describe the problem and how GIS resolved the issue. Discuss how the problem could have been resolved without GIS? Discuss another environmental problem that could be solved using an application such as the one you described in your case study?
The response should include a reference list. Double-space, using Times New Roman 12 pnt font, one-inch margins, and APA style of writing and citations.

• This research article demonstrates how GIS is used to manage forests and includes calculations such as patch size, number of patches and harvested area. The study points out that there is a need for complex systems approach that uses GIS. Class members can also use the paper to help them complete the week five homework.
