I. Conduct a PEST analysis of a company (Apple or Walmart) that you know. Discuss briefly how PEST factors affect the operation of the company. Make recommendation.
II. Most universities have a mission statement. Write a mission statement for Touro College. Does having comprehensive mission cause high performance. Justify your answer.
III. If you were making a speech to a company personnel, what would you tell them about the kind of corporate culture you would like to have at this company? What specific cultural traits would you like the company to have. Explain.
IV. Is Business strategy a mixture of luck and judgments, opportunities, and design, or more of an art that a science? Explain with your own arguments clearly.
V. You are a strategic planning manager in a large retail company. Explain what strategic style you would adopt and why? Refer to models such as SWOT analysis, porters's Five Forces.
VI. Value chain is a series of activities or processes. Which aims at creating and adding value to an article (product) at every step during the production process. Explain this statment of value chain analysis by showing its application in STARBUCKS or in any business of your choice.
