Discussion Post: Compensation
• Compensation is a detailed concept, and many employers and employees view it's components differently.
o Explain how perceptions of compensation differ among the various disciplinary concepts.
o Select at least three of those concepts and discuss how these concepts are evident in the compensation platform at your current or former employer (or another company you have researched).
• Compensation discrimination can be costly to organizations and as such, companies must work hard to ensure that their compensation practices are in alignment with legislation.
o Locate an example of a company that has violated one of the compensation laws that was discussed in this module. Describe the violation and its outcome (so it is important that you do not select cases that that still pending).
o Discuss how the company can avoid similar violations in the future.
The response should include a reference list. Double-space, using Times New Roman 12 pnt font, one-inch margins, and APA style of writing and citations.
