One of the parents contends that the root of Sia's depression is biological, since her mother is also clinically depressed. However, the other parent argues that Sia is depressed because Sia's parents are going through a divorce. Based on your knowledge of the diathesis stress model explain with whom do you agree? Discuss how can research inform this debate?
