Problem: About our topic: Health Has No Immigration Status Our project is about encouraging Latino and immigrant communities in Southern California to get screened early for diabetes, even if they don't have insurance or legal status. We focus on connecting them to free or low-cost clinics. Our target audience is older immigrant adults, and we use young adults (ages 15-30) to help share the message with their families. We are using the Health Belief Model to explain the risks of not getting screened and why it's important. 8.
