Discuss five stocks how the market conditions over the past 2 weeks has affected the price performance of those stocks. Also, you can discuss various economic data released by the U.S. government or the government of other major stock markets (United Kingdom, Canada, Japan, China, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa).
Be sure to include techinical and/or fundamental data in your commentary. (Technical data comes from performance charts and include items such as 52 week price highs and lows. Fundamental data includes things such as financial ratios, revenue projections, etc.) Also discuss in your commentary the performance of your stocks top competitors. For example, if you are trading Apple, your commentary must be relative to Apple and Samsung and the cellphone/computer industry as a whole.
Finally, list at least three reputable references as your source for market news. Acceptable sources include: Marketwatch, Morningstar, The Financial Times, Reuters, The Wall Street Journal, CNBC, CNN, The Motley Fool. Unacceptable sources include: any personal finance blogs, Wikipedia, Investopedia.
