Discuss financial stability, drug and alcohol addiction

Problem:

I believe that a person's living conditions, financial stability, drug and alcohol addiction, peer pressure including gangs, absent parents and mental state plays major parts in a person committing crimes. A person that is financially struggling and living in poverty in high crime neighborhoods or living in family dysfunction including abuse, neglect is likely to commit crimes since they need money to take care of themselves and or family, and they have no stable foundation or support so therefore they have to crime.

A person that is using drug and alcohol will most likely commit crimes due to the fact that they have to support their habit. Most people that use drugs or alcohol use to escape their reality and they feel the drugs and alcohol take away their problems but in real time they have made the problems even worst.

Then, there is peer pressure and gangs. Peer pressure comes in many forms, and some people are not strong enough to fight it, so they commit crimes because they feel they have no other choice and just give in to make it stop. Gangs I believe commit crimes to gain control, power, protection, status and to establish fear in a person/people. Gang members commit crimes because they have been exposed to violence or that is their living environment when they come outside. That's all they see and know, so they are a product of their environment. Need Assignment Help?
