In this assignment, students will begin an exploration into the different types of "hats" worn by the cyber security hacker.
In a 750- to 1000-word paper, explain the difference between the white hat, black hat, and grey hat computer hacker. Expound upon the role and impact of each hat within an organization. Make sure to address the following by using academic and current (within 2 years) sources:
1. Motivations and ideologies
2. Examination of the impact on an organization that various types of cyber warfare tools individually used
3. Impact that associated network security risks, threats, gaps, or threat vectors have on an organization
4. Methods and tactics used for carrying out cyber warfare
