i. Discuss the distinction among verbal, written and implied consent. Explain how consent differs among competent patients, minors, guardians and those not competent to make their own decisions. Why is this a corporate compliance/code of conduct mandate?
ii. Describe the rights and responsibilities of patients under the Conditions of Participation. Discuss corporate responsibility for ensuring that these are met. Does the Mayo Clinic addresses these general areas (in the CoP)? Why or why not?
