• Statement 1 Disasters remind us that nature is beautiful but can also be very dangerous. Sometimes with all the warnings and notices that are in place, there is still little warning for disasters. There are teachings all throughout the Bible that teaches us to be prepared for disasters in one verse Proverbs 27:12 tells us "The prudent sees danger and hides himself, but the simple go on and suffer for it" (ESV Bible online 2016).
• Statement 2: Preparedness is about planning and being in a state where people are ready to respond to any kind of risk or disaster through means of arduous practice. Preparedness commonly refers to activities "undertaken prior to the onset of a disaster to enhance the response capacities of individuals and households, organizations, communities, states, and nations" (Phillips, Neal, & Webb, 2017, p. 140).
The response should include a reference list. Using double-space, Times New Roman 12 pnt font, one-inch margins, and APA style of writing and citations.
