Question: Given the above situation wherein common causes of medication errors are already studied, I think a research on the efficiency of having medication trainings wherein staff are taught the mechanism of action/indications/contraindications/doses/adverse effects of different drugs from time to time could be studied. Updates on new drugs can also be given as well as best practices in medication administration. I think this way, nursing staff would always get refreshers as to why the drugs are given and hopefully prevent the incidence of medication errors.
