I) You are presenting a speech in front of your State Board of Education as a teacher advocate in the No Child Left Behind (NCLB) educational environment and in an era of educational accountability for student learning.
(1) Provide for them your definition of a teacher. Include 12 to 15 belief statements around education that guide your actions as a teacher.
(2) Discuss at least five challenges that affect you as a professional educator, including Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) issues mandated by No Child Left Behind (NCLB).
(3) Explain the tools that your State Board of Education can provide to help you succeed in the classroom as you implement NCLB policies.
