Discuss case law/legislation when burglar alarms not work

Problem: Dominic, a wealthy man, operated a high-end business in North Wollongong. He had a contract with a supplier Hallmark Pty Ltd (Hallmark) which sells business burglar alarms. It imports the alarms from China Enterprises Pty Ltd, a company located somewhere in Shanghai. Hallmark's business burglar alarms retail at $39,500 each and are considered to be inexpensive. During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2021, Dominic bought ten of these to be installed in the warehouses of his company Panorama Developments Pty Ltd, which sells high-priced accessories such as jewellery, gemstones and watches to wealthy customers. Dominic bought the alarms to prevent theft should this occur. The alarms Dominic bought did not work one night when thieves broke into his warehouses and stole merchandise worth several thousands of dollars.

Advise Dominic of his legal position in these circumstances. Support your answer with case law and legislation where applicable.
