Discuss applicability to practice and policy of a unit

Qualitative Article Assignment:

Instructions:

The focus of this assignment is on qualitative research. In this assignment, you will examine 2 different articles. One article will need to be a meta-synthesis and the other article will be a single study, qualitative research article.

Although a meta-synthesis can sometimes be challenging to find, you will want to narrow your search to a similar subject manner for both searches. For example, if I want to look at falls in children and different protocols/recommendations that may exist for the pediatric population, I might discover that research is limited because children are a vulnerable population. Therefore, I may have to broaden my topic to falls in adults instead. I would not however, want to find one article (single study) on falls in children and have the meta-analysis be related to asthma protocols in children because the information would be too vastly different.

Then you are going to answer the following questions in a formal paper which is to be written in 3rd person and adhere to APA standards.

1. Identify methods and purpose of the study.

2. Discuss the level of evidence and grade of recommendations.

3. Discuss applicability to: (a) practice, (b) policy of a unit or system at the organizational level (i.e.emergency room or hospital level), and or (c) social and global policy.

The paper should be submitted to the Assignment section of the course by the due date listed on the schedule. Your paper must be submitted to turnitin and uploaded as a pdf document.

Please submit the following completed assignment by the due date:

Title page, discussion, references, articles (meta-analysis or systematic review AND single study) and turnitin originality report

Maximum Page Limit: 8 pages excluding title page and references.
