Problem
Anil decides to plant a bomb in his local supermarket in a busy part of town to protest against a rise in food prices. He sets the timer to go off late at night when the supermarket will be closed. He knows that workers are employed to stack shelves on some nights but he is not sure when. He also predicts that the blast will injure at least some pedestrians outside the premises. However, he hopes that no one dies.
The bomb explodes at night and kills Violet, one of the night workers, and seriously injures Bal, who was passing by outside.
Bal is taken to hospital in an ambulance accompanied by Mohammed, a paramedic. Mohammed fails to apply basic safety protocols when he forgets to fasten Bal securely to the stretcher before the ambulance starts moving. When the ambulance driver makes an emergency stop to avert a collision with another vehicle, Bal slides off the stretcher, cracks his skull on the floor and dies almost instantly.
