You assembled a team of people who have given assistance in the form of feedback over the past month and a half regarding opportunities to reduce costs and how to present your findings to your boss. You have utilized the previous year's data for your department, data analytic concepts, and the SAS software tools that are proven to be useful in many industries, including your industry.
Tasks
In this Project, you must finish the task with the submission of a memorandum to your boss and a presentation, as follows:
Update the draft of your presentation by applying feedback provided by the professor and your classmates.
Create the draft of your PowerPoint presentation to be used during the meeting with your boss. Remember, you will use this presentation to convince your boss that there are opportunities to decrease costs by at least 20% based on your analysis of the previous year's data and research on other companies' cost-reduction initiatives.
You must also perform some prescriptive analysis to demonstrate how your recommendation, if implemented, will cut your costs by 20% over the next year.
Your presentation must be between 10-15 slides with presenter notes (150-200 words per slide), and you must cite at least 5-10 resources and references. Submit the presentation in the assignment folder.
Write a 1-page professional memorandum to your boss to notify him that you have completed the research and the analysis of the specific areas where you are making your suggestions for the cost reductions.
This memorandum must summarize your findings and confirm the date for your meeting to discuss the findings and the recommendations.
Students must submit the memorandum in the assignment folder with the following elements:
Discuss and summarize your company history and evolution.
Make a choice of opportunities based on perceptions and preliminary data. Discuss your data findings and analytics and the pitch of your suggestions to your company.
Provide the basis of your qualitative and quantitative research and analysis.
The response should include a reference list. Double-space, using Times New Roman 12 pnt font, one-inch margins, and APA style of writing and citations.
