Essay Assignment: Mission Statement
Your vision. Our mission. Together, we can build healthy communities through positive social change. Before you begin to pursue your Master of Public Health (MPH), I'd like to discuss the admissions essay requirement as part of your application for this program.
The essay requirement is meant to demonstrate that you have the writing skills to succeed in the MPH program. Your essay must be in response to one of the following: Explain your understanding of the rigors of graduate education and the MPH program. Describe a time when you had to overcome a challenging situation and how this may relate to your success in graduate school and the MPH program. In your opinion, what is the top public health crisis facing this generation?
Format your assignment according to the following formatting requirements:
(1) The answer should be typed, double spaced, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides.
(2) The response also includes a cover page containing the title of the assignment, the student's name, the course title, and the date. The cover page is not included in the required page length.
(3) Also include a reference page. The Citations and references should follow APA format. The reference page is not included in the required page length.
