Race and the American Political Process I (two page discussions)
Both the Mauer and APSA Task Force Report note that the right to vote and hold elected office has expanded overtime in American politics. Yet, they also note the increasing levels of class-, gender-, and race-based inequalities. How is it that both trends can be occurring? Where do you think the United States is headed when it comes to equity and political participation? Cite specific evidence to support your conclusions.
