Discussion: Iraq Religious Instability
Can someone explain to me in general terms specifically why is their so much turmoil between the Sunnis, Shi'ites, and Kurds living in Iraq. Here's what I would like to have as a breakdown/format for whomever decides to answer these questions.
Answer these questions so that I can have a better understanding of what's going on with the religious organizations in this particular country:
1) What are the Sunnis religious beliefs and what does this organization truly stand for and are willing to fight and die for?
2) What are the Shias religious beliefs and what does this organization truly stand for and are willing to fight and die for?
3) What are the Kurdish religious beliefs and what does this organization truly stand for and are willing to fight and die for?
4) Why are they fighting so much?
5) Which faction is the actual majority?
6) Where is each actually located in the country of Iraq?
