This is the topic that made me interested in this chapter: social stratification "Social stratification, defined as a system by which a society categories of people in a hierarchy" (Society: the basics, 2016). Social stratification is a trait of society, the trait affects class, race, gender, and beliefs. Is indeed that we see an inequality treat in our society whether you're at work, school, shopping store or public places. An example of social stratification is the movie Titanic which was made from a true event in the year 1912. The ship had 2,300 passengers, including the crews, and different classes of people. After the titanic ship hit an iceberg and started sinking, they prioritized the kids and women.

High-income countries are the nations with the highest overall standards of living which includes USA (United States of America), Canada, and UK (United Kingdom). Middle-income countries are the nations with a standard of living about average for the world as a whole which includes most Latin America and Asia. Low-income countries are the nations with a low standard of living in which most people are poor which is mostly in Africa.
