PRINCE is an Acronym for the "Projects in a Controlled Environment" framework.
The two best-known project management publications are the Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK®) 6th Edition, (otherwise known as the PMBOK® Guide) and Managing Successful Projects with PRINCE2®.
Both publications are claimed to embody best practices in project management and are often seen as two different variations of the same thing.
