Background:
The Chinese word for change is made up of two symbols, one for uncertainty and the other for opportunity. We must embrace both of these concepts to enable and maneuver through a change. Change is inevitable and can affect every part of our lives. The world continues to spin, and the business climate around us changes. Change can be sought out or forced upon us. As technology and culture change, we are forced into the urgency of change. Because change is different, it can create for us a fear of the unknown. The question in every change is how we will manage that process.
Question: Discuss a time when you experienced a major change and how you handled that situation. Explain if you would perform anything differently if you had the chance.
