According to "National Labor Relations Board" (n.d.),"The National Labor Relations Board is an independent federal agency vested with the power to safeguard employees' rights to organize and to determine whether to have unions as their bargaining representative. The agency also acts to prevent and remedy unfair labor practices committed by private sector employers and unions." (What We Do).
The Boards Primary Functions
NLRB has two primary purposes under The National Labor Relations Act. (1) They direct elections or take secret polls betweenworkersand employers of select groups to determine the conditions of employment. (2) Their function is to reach atreaty to standardize working conditions where unfair labor practices may exist("National Labor Relations Act", n.d.).

OSHA
Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standard 1910.132 refers to personal protective equipment or PPE. This standard was implemented to ensure safety equipment be provided for employees to protect them wherever it is necessary by reason of hazards of process or environment, chemical hazards, radiological hazards, or mechanical irritants encountered in a manner capable of causing injury or impairment in the function of any part of the body through absorption, inhalation or physical contact. This regulation is important because PPE protects you from anything hazardous from injuring you! Without PPE it is possible to get burned or even get something harsh into your eyes, which can cause permanent damage. Some examples of PPE are safety glasses, lab coats, or gloves, again these are only some of the examples.

EPA
The role of the Environmental Protection Agency EPA is to protect the health of human beings and the environment too. EPA is empowered to make and enforce rules and regulations under the existing environmental laws. EPA is also responsible for researching various methods of environmental protection. The Agencyis responsible for environmental licensing, environmental guidance, education and planning, management of waste, regulating greenhouse emissions and monitors, analyses and reports on the environment (Davies, 2014). One major regulation that EPA enforces in the industrial/manufacturing sector is the regulation to control emissions from mercury, wastes and other products to water or air (Williams, 2013).
