What can we learn from history? Leisure was seen as a cure for social ills brought about by the Industrial Revolution. The playground/parks/recreation movements turned social reform are the roots of public parks and recreation in our country. In what ways might leisure continue to be a problem solver today in our society? Discuss at least two contemporary problems and ways in which leisure could be the answer.
