Imagine you are in a predicament or challenging situation in a foreign city. Perhaps you have lost your money or train ticket or passport. You decide to reach out to someone who lives there (and is familiar with the city) for help. Set down a short narrative about this person and how she or he helped you. Be sure to describe what you come to know, learn, and understand about this person. What qualities in this person do you admire and/or dislike? What does this person teach you about the place you are in, its customs and values, and ultimately yourself?
