At the beginning of the year, Amma opened a brokerage account with a brokerage house and deposited an amount of Ghs 100,000 in order to facilitate her investment transactions. Immediately after opening the account, Amma bought 2000 shares of XYZ Company at Ghs 20 per share. The stock performed well and by April, the stock was trading at Ghs 55 per share. At this point, Amma put in a stop loss order at GHs 49. The stock continued to perform well reaching Ghs 63 per share. Amma then cancelled the stop loss order and made a new one at Ghs 58 per share. Thereafter the stock went further higher to Ghs 65 and started falling in price and currently it is quoted for Ghs30.
